Techie Senior Photography

David is a high school senior techie and loves his sweet English bulldog! He loves computer programming and has excelled in school so much to the point that he will be majoring in it in college in the Fall. We photographed David’s Senior Photography Session in the studio, in his backyard and in his home. We also stopped by the Joy and Gordon Patterson Botanical Gardens on the campus Florida Institute of Technology for some quick images on their bridge. His mom bought a 16×20 canvas of David to match the wall art on their family photography wall. We love having objects and pets in the photographs that mean alot to a Senior. Where to have Your High School Senior Photography in Florida

McKee Botanical Garden in Vero Beach, Florida was the perfect backdrop for Jennifer’s 2024 High School Senior photography session! Jennifer loves lilies and the pond at McKee did not disappoint! The colors of the foliage combined with the rich textures of the trees, bridge and waterfalls was just perfect. After a session here, we traveled back to Downtown Melbourne and where my studio, Dana Niemeier Photography, is located and finished up the session with fun celebratory confetti college announcement photos! These are a perfect addition to graduation announcements. We book High School Senior Photography Sessions year round, but try to book in Florida’s cooler months! It’s hot here, folks, but we can always schedule those sessions ahead of time! Cheers!

Marie chose the Model for a Day Senior Photography Session and boy did we use that to the fullest! She took advantage of the in studio-included Hair and Makeup Styling by Glam Culture and went for a bumped up natural vibe. We began her Senior Photography Session in the studio with portraits and then with her English Mastiff, Chewy and Ollie her little Yorkie terrier mix! So. Cute. WE LOVE photographing Seniors with their pets! Marie is a ballet dancer and since moving from Minnesota recently, she wanted some of her Senior Photography Session images on the beach at sunrise! Check!

We also traveled down to McKee Garden in Vero Beach for beautiful Lily Pond and waterfall images. What a beautiful album this Senior Photography Model for a Day session made! The wall art was framed and hung on one of their new Melbourne Beach home’s walls. Have a great first year at The University of Florida, Marie! Go Gators;)

Football Senior Photography

Gavin plays football for the Melbourne High School Bulldogs in Melbourne, Florida. I have photographed his 2 older brothers and was so excited when his mom, Denise called to plan Gavin’s Football Photography Session! We photographed in the studio and the headed out to the Melbourne High School Football stadium. Loved these images as Gavin was so easy to photograph! What a great personality and fun to work with!

Model For a Day Portraits

Karlyn chose our “Model for a Day” Senior Photography Session and enjoyed a fun tour of Florida’s stunning Space Coast beaches and picturesque Live Oak-lined country roads!

Karlyn started her Senior Photography day with light hair and makeup. The expert stylists at Glam Culture, listened to what Karlyn wanted and then styled her beautifully! Glam Culture is conveniently located in Downtown Melbourne near our studio! We maximized the cool comfort of the air conditioning and captured Karlyn’s Glam side in a vintage gown from our Style Closet.

Florida’s hidden gems include rural country roads framed by majestic Live Oak trees, perfect for capturing unique and beautiful portraits. Karlyn’s sweet dog and her new convertible were wonderful additions to her Senior Portrait Box of matted 5×7 prints.

As the day unfolded, we couldn’t resist the allure of the beach. We headed to Sebastian Inlet, one of Florida’s top surfing spots, for breathtaking sunset portraits by the dreamy sand and surf. Of course, no “Model for a Day” Senior Photography Session would be complete without a sunset graduation gown shot!

Seniorography 2020

Let it be known that 2020-21 will not be the year that High School Seniors just set back and gave up on having anything special happen their Senior year!  Hope’s mom, Julia was determined that Hope would begin her Senior year with a very special custom photography session from Dana Niemeier Photography! Over Zoom we planned the location and even planned the outfits Hope would wear right down to the jewelry and shoes.  I scheduled Hope with my Professional Hair and Makeup Stylist so that she would feel pampered and taken care of AND wouldn’t have to worry about a thing on her portrait day! Hope had chosen a beautiful coral prom gown that she was never able to wear to her Jr. Prom because the COVID-19 pandemic closed her school! I made sure she was able to have some gorgeous portraits and happy memories in that gown! It was a warm summer Florida day in a Botanical Garden and Hope looked radiant! We had so much fun and enjoyed a beautiful day in Vero Beach. I loved giving Hope a day she will always remember and beautiful portraits and wall art her family will always cherish.

 

Couture Senior Sessions are Underway!

Oh how I have waited for Florida in November!  Low humidity cooler days, even cooler  nights!  Well, the struggle is real. Here it is November 4th and it already 81 degrees at 9am. *Sigh* No matter how long you have been transplanted in Florida, your “Fall Clock” is just ticking.  But I digress 🙂  The Seniors have been waiting for our cooler weather to have their Dana Niemeier Photography Seniorography Sessions, but we will have to settle for the Lower Humidity to get it on!! It is off to a gorgeous start and the forecast is for more tulle with a few scattered pearls and preppiness!!  I will TAKE IT!!

Our Northern counterparts with their sunflower, cotton, waving fields of grain make us coastal Floridians long for those gorgeous, color filled shots! However we make due 🙂  Beaches, Botanical Gardens, Lagoons and Palm trees are what we rock here in the Sunshine State!  We even found a field of our own 😉 Here are a few of our first Senior “Fashion Collection” Sessions!  November-December is filling UP with them!!  After we shoot the fun Senior photos with the clients clothing choices, we move on to the Fashion Photography! Love it.
